[Document] 1775 May 2 / Jos. Warren.

This document of May 2, 1775 was just prior to Warren's appointment as President of the Massachusetts Provisional Congress while he was involved with negiotations with American revolutionaries from Connecticut. The document concerns the appointment and payment of officers ("... two field officers, six captains & sub officers"). The document notes that the provisions of this document had been discussed with Col. Arnold and the Committee of Safety, of which Warren was a member. This specific document may have been intended as a copy for Benedict Arnold, as his name is written at the top of the document.
